I assume rather than clearly defined "skate shoes" you just mean really chunky looking sneakers, which are actually fine for streetwear. I dont know really. I look stupid with chunky shoes and I wreck thin shoes in two sessions. Now I just stack up with models that are in the middle (like Emerica Low Vulc, Etnies Marana and Adidas Busentiz 2) when they are on sale and just skate them until they are to loose or got giant holes.
